LORD WHISKY was a little Jack Russell who preferred to spend the last 16 years of his life at the Sanctuary, ending at 22 years of age.

Although one of the main aims of the Sanctuary is to find suitable permanent homes for every animal who comes in, some, because of temperament, like Lord Whisky, cannot cope with the bustle and stress of everyday life in an ordinary home. Also, retired horses and other farm animals are catered for. It is with this in mind that the Sanctuary provides a peaceful and loving environment where animals can live out their lives, where they are loved and understood. No animal is ever put down unless in its own interest, and every animal, no matter how ill, old or neglected on arrival, is given the best chance possible to be helped back to health and a decent quality of life.
